Heading to the beach today!

This picture is not the beach I am going to…ha ha….but man it is beautiful.  Just look at it and picture yourself in the hammock swinging over the ocean….OK!

So yea, heading to the beach for the 2nd time in 10 days, which is big for me.  I love the ocean and laying on the sand, but I am a very WHITE girl, who doesn’t take well to the sun.  I love you Sun, but we don’t get along so well on hot sunny days, if you know what I mean.

I am half Irish half English, red hair and freckles, so you can imagine what happens when I stay out there to long.  Pretty much I go from elmer’s glue white (which, side note, was my nickname in junior high, Elmer, because my legs were so white) to lobster red.  I know, hold yourselves back from the sexual hotness that you are imagining. Also, I am prone to getting sun poisoning pretty easily so if I am not careful out there, it is a bad mixture of ugliness.

So a day at the beach included lots of planning and packing.  I have to pack my bag with clothes to put over what I am wearing, so that every inch of me can be covered if need be.  Hat, necessity!  Plenty of sunscreen, I apply all over my body before I leave the house.  When I finally make to the the beach, then I have someone get my back and every odd inch that I couldn’t get.  Then, if I dare go in the water, I have to do the whole routine all over again.  So getting in the water is usually not done because it is such a hassle for me to get lathered up again. Take food, and lots of water.  I almost feel like a baby because I need to have so much when I go.  I am usually wearing a huge red hat, a cover up, and am carrying about three big bags of stuff, so never in this whole trip is “cool” or “hot”, ever muttered or even thought of by on lookers I am sure.

But I love it!!!

So now saying all this and laying out my plans I should probably get started.
